How we do User Behaviour Research differently
1. Discovery
First, we analyse your user persona (or create one for you!)
We’ll find out who your primary user is and delve into their goals, challenges and behaviours. This can involve user persona profiles or user journey mapping.
2. Data Collection
Our experts use a wide range of user research methods to draw a complete picture of your target users.
We use quantitative data (facts + numbers) and qualitative data (emotions + ideas). Our user behaviour experts will use Google Analytics to explore what typical journeys through your site look like. They’ll do heat-mapping and competitor analysis. And they’ll gain insights from real users with surveys, card sorting, and usability testing.
3. Analysis
Time to analyse the collected data to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities.
Once we’ve gathered your data our experts will use it to find opportunities to seize and weaknesses to improve on your website.
4. Report
We’ll send you a list of insights.
We split our findings into two categories: quick fixes and ideas we want to A/B test. Factoring in ease of implementation and potential returns, we will put your recommended actions into a cost-effective order of priority.
5. A/B Testing
We’ll check how our ideas work on real users.
After implementing the quick fixes, we’ll A/B test the other items and analyse the results. We’re confident in our theories for how you can improve your website, but it’s always a good idea to test different options. Only the top-performing optimisations win!
6. Implementation
Finally, we implement the changes and watch the conversions roll in.
You’ll be surprised by the impact some subtle updates can have! That’s not the end, though. At Digivate, we’re passionate about continuous change and improvement. We’ll monitor and analyse your user data on the regular to keep getting better.

We’ve been doing this since before Google existed
Digivate has been leading the way in digital marketing since 1998. That’s over two decades of getting to know users, tracking behaviour, and optimising the heck out of conversion rates.
Users change. The way they explore your site today will be different to six months ago, and that’s only going to increase with the rise of AI.
That’s why it’s so important to delve into the data, survey shoppers aligned with your user persona, and observe online behaviour. You need to adapt to them. Not the other way around.
Get the results you’ve been dreaming of
Forrester Research found that every $1 invested in User Experience (UX) Research returns an average of $100. It’s about listening to your users and creating an experience they want to engage in. When the site is designed around them, why wouldn’t they convert?
